It's one of my all-time-favourites..The cast,plot,soundtracts are all great.
I highly recommend you to watch it.

I was just thinkink of opening the same topic Smile

We were talking with skate french about Amelie yesterday. It is definitely my favorite movie of all time. I can't recall how many times I have seen it. I think I have memorized every scene and every single word on this film Very Happy

Some people actually find it "too naive" or "too optimistic to be true" but that's what makes this movie so special. I like it to believe there are, or at least there may be, people like Amelie Poulain out there (yeah I live in a dreamland, so what Laughing

).

Audrey Tautou is a lovely actress and she is definitely a perfect match for the character. It couldn't have been portraited better I think.

And the music...what can I say...I think I am lost for words Very Happy

. Yann Tiersen is a pure genius, he is one of my favorite musicians. And if you like the sountrack for Amelie (as if it is possible not to), you should get his other albums. They are at least as good.

Even I like that movie, the majority of movies I watch are martial ars movies. But Amelie is a real masterpiece

Amelie is truly a great movie, the best "Jean Pierre Jeunet- Audrey Tatou" work. But have you seen A Very Long Engagement? Is their new film, I think is also fantastic, but Amelie is still better.

"A Very Long Engagement" was a little bit of a letdown for me. I was expecting another masterpiece from Jeunet, however this movie was not as "touching" as Am�lie although the plot is definitely more emotional than that of Am�lie. There were too many characters presented to us at the beginning of the movie, each with a different story and this made it hard to keep track of things. One could just see through the character of Am�lie making it easier for us to sypmathise with her, however we never could get into Mathilde...I couldn't at least Smile

That left me as an outsider whereas I can live almost every single moment of Am�lie myself while watching it.

My favorite French movie is Amelie Very Happy

I watched Amelie when three years ago.
Amelie is very cute. Move's image is very beautiful!
Story was good wasn't it?
