Hello,

If you took a special class and you found you became more intelligent, can you say as followings when you came out of the room?

(1) I came out of the room intelligent.

Thanks in advance
Hiro

Hello.
No --that is awkward English. The ADJ "intelligent" does not work in that case. You would have to use superlatie and comparative sentence structure. You might want to say:
1) I left the class more intelligent than when I went in!
2) The class increased my intelligence.
3) I left the class smarter than before.
I hope this helps.
Klara

Sorry --there is a typing error: superlatie is supposed to be SUPERLATIVE (the use of "more...than")
Sorry.

Hello, Klara,

Thank you very much for answering my question.
I understand you. I'm interested in the following expression:
(1) She ate the meat raw.
(2) John went out of the room angry.

These sentences can be parapharased using a conjunction, can't be?
That is,
(1') She ate the meat when it was raw.
(2') John went out of the room when he was angry.

They are very interesting for me, a non-native English speaker, in that some types of adjectives can be used in the positon above in (1) and (2) whereas others cannot.

Sincerely,
Hiro

I have one more question to ask. Is the following sentence acceptable when uttered in the similar situation?

(2) I came out of the room more intelligent.

Sincerely,
Hiro
