In the above, I think 'so think Palmer, Jordan and Ashe instead' means
that 'Palmer think so, instead of Jordan and Ashe'.
But that doesn't make sense at all.
Can you paraphrase 'so think Palmer, Jordan and Ashe instead' and explain it gramatically?

It means, don't think about comparing Tiger Woods to Jesus, Mozart and Gandhi (people who have changed the course of humanity). Instead, think of comparing him to people like Palmer, Jordan and Ashe (famous sports figures who changed the face of their sports). |
