In Canada a man called Ernst Zundel was deported to Germany (his country of birth) for saying that he thought the holocaust was untrue. In Germany he was put in jail, because it is illegal, in Germany, to say such a thing.
But what if the man sincerely believed it to be true? Personally, I think such a law is wrong. He was merely displaying his abysmal ignorance.
I think if the president of Iran wants to make remarks, such as, "Israel should be wiped off the map", it is his prerogative to do so, as long as he is prepared to deal with whatever Israel decides to do to him if he should try it.
However, there are limits to the freedom of speech, even in the USA, where, for instance it is illegal to shout, "Fire" in a crowded building, unles it is on fire. Also promoting racial hatred is illegal in several countries, but so far, it is not illegal to draw funny pictures of the prophets, or the pope, or the Archbishop of Canterbury, or whoever it is that runs the jewish religion.
And why should it be - they all love to dress up in funny clothes and presume to know what god is all about. |

If he is doing that because of abysmal ignorence, I agree with you. But some do it to prolong nazi ideas.

Iran is not ruled by wise people that's for sure.

There have been depictions of the prophet Mohammed in the past( like in late 1990s) in Germany and it never created the fuss that the recent cartoons did.
Personally, I didnt find the depictions of the prophet wearing a turban shaped like a bomb funny at all. And I never recall someone picturing Jesus Christ in NAZI uniform whilst victims, namely the Jews waiting before the gas chamber. Satire and critisizing religions is one thing, to which everyone has a right to, but insulting peoples beliefs and the believers by implying they worship terrorism is quite another.
I at least have found it higly objectionable. I am not the soul of objectivity and might be mistaken in my beliefs, I am not religious either. But i can not accept being named as "stupid" or portrayed as "terrorist" because of my belief... |

I don't care what you believe. That is your choice. What I do care about is that you are trying to impose your view of the world and god on me.
Why are you doing that?
If Allah is really all-powerful, he can deal with blasphemers himself.
If he is merciful, as you all say he is, then he will probably do nothing.
So, why do you have so little faith in Allah that you think you have to do his work for him? |

Show me a line, where have I ever attempted impose my world view or god on you? Objecting to something that i didnt agree is not imposing a view or god.
You are obsessed with some other guys who propagate religion and you now confuse me with them. I doubt you are paying attention what you read.

What relation other people have with God or whoever they believe, does not in any way concern me , not even a little bit. It is a matter of personal conscience and a relation between that individual person and whoever he/she believes. it is not up to me.

I am neither doing a work for anybody, nor putting blame on anyone. Just wanted to fill emtpy spaces which are knowingly or unknowingly left. So what? Did you expect me to confirm whatever you tell and say "yes Master" ? |
