We tried to break up these people, peacefullike, but...

Is this "peacefullike" English or dialect, meaning peacefully?
I can't find it in my dictionary.

It is not standard English - it certainly is slang and is not normally used. You are describing a verb here and therefore need to use an adverb. It is better to use peacefully to say how the people were broken up.
