In the movie, Cinderellaman, a man, giving a boxer an advice, says:
You see that. Keep him in front of you. Cut him off, all right? And let go with the punches. Hit him! He ain�t gonna like it. I guarantee you, the more you hit this b*stard the slower he�s gonna get.
1. Does this "You see that." mean "Do you understand?" or "Can you see that with your eyes"?
2. "let go with the punches." What does it mean? Let ??? go?

I'd have to watch the scene againg to be sure, but I think..........
1- "Can you see that with your eyes"
2- "let go with the punches" = Hit him!
let go with the punches = start punching |

2. "let go with the punches." What does it mean? Let ??? go?
It means the coach thinks the boxer is holding back or restraining himself from punching. The coach wants him to do the opposite of "hold back", which is "let go" -- stop restraining himself and punch! |
