| Is it possible to actually 'really learn' writing via the net? I think that there are more disadvantages such as, it leads to passiveness, negative self esteem, not socialising and so on... what do u guys out there think about it? |

| I think one could only improve his writing ability with help of a good teacher. A good teacher's suggestion or revision for your writing is very important. There are many good teachers on this forum, so I guess learning writing via the net is feasible. |

well, i think there are advantages and disadvantages of learning writing via online.one of the beneffits is that by writing online example sign in a forum and posted your writing then other people can give opinion and discuss about the particular topic you are discussing. There are many teacher too on the line which can help you to check your writing. Besies, it increased personal interaction with other students and the teacher. Students can meetand communicate with other students online for support like students who attend fouryear colleges/universities do in their dormitories and other informal meeting places on campus and in the community. For community college students, this medium gives them
the opportunity to interact with other students socially. These social interactions strengthen academic endeavors. Learning from the teachers responses to other students assignments. For instance, students read their lecturer comments to other students drafts. Although some of these comments are specific to the topic the student chose, many comments reinforce effective writing. Meanwhile, the disadvantage is it increased hours spent on online completing tasks/assignments. Online courses are much more work than students imagine. For instance, just reading/responding to email can take many hours. Students often comment that they thought an online course would be less
work than a traditional course. |
