Dear Teachers,
1.Just go for it! Good luck in your action-packed new life.
-What do go for it! and action-packed new life mean?
2.I wanna make a trip to UK for relaxing/to relax.
-Is this natural?
3. In my free time I often help my Dad pull wild grass in the garden.
-In my spare time I often help my Dad weed in the garden.
-In my spare time I often help my Mom plant trees and flowers.
-Are these natural?
4.- Could you please wait for me a little bit?
-Could you please wait for me for a few/some minutes?
5.I have a problem that I wanted some advice on.
-I think on is redundant here, right?
-Thanks a lot to Teachers,
Stevenukd. |

I'm in a rush so I can only answer the first one...
'Action-packed new life' means just that - a new life packed with action. A life going in a new direction, full of energy and activity, maybe sports, maybe adventure and travel.
'Go for it' means 'do it'. Have a go - give it a try. 'Go for it' sometimes means 'take a risk' ... do something you feel a little bit unsure about.
Travelling around the world is a big scary adventure. There's no way of knowing what might happen, but it could be the best thing you've ever done - so go for it!

2. You might pronounce "want to" as "wanna" in casual speech, but you wouldn't write it that way (except as a quote or dialogue). Also, you need "the" in front of U.K. (probably you want periods, too!) Other than that, I'd say either version is OK.
3. Yes.
4. The first one is very natural. The second one is natural with "a few," but not with "some."
5. No, you need it. |
