hi there...juz wud like to share some of my experience when i first decided to learn english.when i was younger,i was struggling to learn english..i had very limited vocabulary, bad pronunciation n i can't even construct sentences in order for me to communicate with other speakers.worst of all,i always received negative remarks frm others!i was struggling to learn english in order for me to keep up with the crowd.i almost gave up n nvr to learn english again as i find it very inconsistant but i was lucky to have met a wonderful teacher who encourage me not to give up..i begin to learn under her guidance n eventually she has made a difference in my life.frm that very moment,i begin to believe that there are someone out there who is really sincere n u juz hav to find the right person.books only help u to learn but they cant encourage u to improve n to do better..agree wif me?have u encounter such experience?do share it all wif me n thanks to all the wonderful teachers out there..

hello jenksc,
I totally agree with you..u have said something which i wanted to express ages ago.i have too met a wonderful teacher..she had help me go through thick and thin while i was struggling with English language. She has suggest to me various ways to learn English each time i moaned and complained how difficult it is to improve my English. Her encouragement and effort has put me to shame.how can i give up when there is someone who trust me more than myself? all her hardwork she had put in during lessons enlightened me and she has brought out the best in me..i hope there are more inspiring teacher out there bcause their noble intention will make a different in their students's life. cheers to all the best teacher out there!!

Dear Corey

What is the difference between:

...key to learning anything.
