Wear a piece of underwear that nobody could imagine was necessary.

I don't know why, Missdaredevil. You asked the original question. I just tried to make it easier to understand.

But, maybe if you were sky diving and your parachute didn't open, but you landed on a haystack or something soft and survived, probably on the way down you would expect you were about to die.
I guess the author of the piece thought it would be a worthwhile experience to feel that you were going to die.
It might make you appreciate life and stop you worrying about small details
What's your take on it?
