From last month, i falled in love with chatting on web. The original aim is for improving english. at late, i met many frineds they were not come from english language country, but we exchanged our views and become friends. I like chat with them everyday, it wasted me much times. On the other hand, i don't think it's beneficial for improving english. Even though, i do love chatting with stranger people on web that make me freshing my mind. My friends beside me all don't agree me to chat on web. they warn me that is very dangerous. what should i do? Please give me ur opinion, i'd appreciate it very much!

If you use your common sense there is no danger to chatting on the web.
Of course, if you believe everything you are told and agree to meet someone who you have met on the web, then there may be danger if that person has evil intentions.
Chatting is not dangerous. People may be.

Chatting on the web is a great way to improve reading and writing skills. As mentioned - just be careful about meeting people you do not trust.

Take care,

Corey

From my opinion, chat on web is a good way to learn English, but not for proficiency. Chat on web is not danger at all but go out with those "friends" you made on web is. I suggest you to read more novels and recite them to polish you english. I am woking hard on these too Smile

Thanks a lot for all your suggestion! Now i have reduced times of chatting on web. In addition, i find that speaking in the forum is more beneficial than chatting on web! Let's hands to hands and work hard!

Glad bless you!
