Hello everyone.

Which word, #1, #2, #3, or #4, has the heaviest stress in part of one of Bs lines: its the way she explains things?
1. way
2. she
3. explains
4. things

I thought the answer would be #4, but the expected answer given was #1.
(A and B are on their way back from school.)
A: Whos that? Is she a teacher?
B: Yes, thats Ms. White. Shes my English teacher. She teaches the advanced grammar class. You must have seen her at school.
A: No, I dont think so. Anyway, whats her class like?
B: Very good. Its the way she explains things that really helps me understand English grammar. Its always simple and clear.
A: Really? Tell me more about her class!

I would like your comment, please.

Best regards,
fw

Hi fw,

1 is a good answer. I would say that 3 is also a good answer with "expl+AINS."

(1) is definitely the best answer here.
