Hi,
I know it's a bit awkward to put the numbers here to indicate what I'm trying to express, for I really don't have any idea how to make that into sentence. Could anyone help me out with this?
10000000000----10,000,000,000
If I want to write a report or tell someone to put commas in front of thousands , how should I express it naturally in English?
Can I say:
1.Please add commas in front of thousand units.
2. Please separate thousands by commas.
3. Please use commas as thousand separators.
If my attempts are all wrong, could you tell me what the most natural way to express this idea?

Hi Leslie,
Your #3 is the most natural, assuming those reading your report know the meaning of "thousand separators".
If you're not sure about this you might want to use this:
For numerals with four or more digits please use a comma after every three digits starting from the right.

Thank you Harmony. But if that is written in a report, is there any concise way to write it? Can I write it as: Please separate thousands with commas? Thank you again.
