Dear teachers
I have a question about "to" and "for".
I learned "It is important to me." is a correct sentence.
But can I use "for" instead of " to" and say "It is important for me" ?
If so. is there any difference between the two sentences ?
I need your help.
Thank you very much.

"It is important to me" means "in my opinion/I think it is important."
"It is important for me" is understood "it is important for me to do something...."
It is important for me to work hard.
Hope it is clear enough.
