Hello everyone.
One dictionary says (1) is correct, and (2) is incorrect. On the other hand, another dictionary says both sentences are incorrect. I wonder which comment is true?

(1)Two loaves of bread are enough.
(2)The bread is enough.

Hello Akihiko

I can imagine using both sentences:

1. Planning a tea party (1)

"So...there'll be ten visitors, in total. How many loaves of bread shall I get? Three?"
"No, we don't need three. Two loaves are enough."

2. Planning a tea party (2)

"Okay...I'll get two loaves, then. What about rolls? Should I get some rolls as well?"
"No, don't get any rolls the bread is enough."

Have a good Sunday,
MrP
