1. I am kind of sick of being a class clown. I would prefer to be entertained by others once in a while.
*On a second thought,* I love being a class clown, but I still would prefer to have a role reversal.
Am I using that phrase right?
2. Is it * the he ll with you* or *to he ll with you*?
3. Every time I call him, he's away and vise versa. Take today for example, I was only only away for ten minutes he called. I was away only for the ten minutes the whole day.
Is there a word that can describe the coincidence like that? a *miscoincidence*?
Thanks |

1. On second thoughts is the way it's usually said.
2. I think originally it was the curse: "(May you) go to h e l l !" but over time it has developed into "To hel l with you!", "The hel l with you!".
3. I think it is still a coincidence, but perhaps an unhappy coincidence.
Or, maybe it's Murphy's Law.
Murphy's Law says "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." |

Hmm, I always use On second thought. Perhaps this is another example of different usages with different Englishes? |
