1.Can *looking back*, *backtracking* and *in retrospect* be used interchangebly?

2. Are there synonyms for *to flirt* and can flirt be physical or is it just verbal?

Thanks

1. I believe they can be used similarly in the right context, but all of them have a different meaning. They can be used to mean the same thing, but backtracking and looking back can both still have their literal meanings.

If you lose your wallet, someone can tell you to backtrack until you find it. They can not tell you to retrospect until you find it.

Backtrack means to go back, while retrospect means to think back and examine things that happened.

2. Flirting can be physical as well and verbal.

hit on, lead on, toy .... can all be considered synonyms
