Dear teachers,
Which of the following is a correct sentence? They both sound fine to me.
No matter you like it or not, you have to study hard now.
Whether you like it or not, you have to study hard now.

Whether you like it or not, you have to study hard now. This one is correct.
'No matter' is usually followed by 'how, what, whether' as in:
Feeding a baby is a messy job no matter how careful you are.
I'm determined to visit Japan no matter what it costs.
No matter whether you like it or not, you have to study hard now. |
