I work at a college?
I work in a college?

I am often confused when to use in and when to use at before a place.
Can someone clarify this for me? Are there any rules?

Thank you!

No matter which is right, you don't tell me exactly what you do at the school. Therefore, I would like to suggest that you be more specific.

I work at a school cafeteria. I work at a school library.

You refer to 'inside the building of a school, a cafeteria, etc. when you say, "I work in a school. I work in a school cafeteria."

Thanks...

Which of the three following sentences is correct?
1) I would like to work at a bank?
2) I would like to work in a bank?
3) I would like to work for a bank?

I have a hard time understanding prepositions. Can some one teach me how to use them properly? Is there any source I could go get information?

Thanks!
