Hello, teachers!!� Thank you all the time for answering questions all the time.

Queen Elizabeth II��has remained aloof from the travails of her relatives, children and grandchildren.

Why is the word "travails" used in this sentence?� I don't understand what this sentence wants to tell the readers.� "travail"=tribulation or agony???

Here, travails = the difficulties that are experienced as part of a particular situation: The travails of the British car industry are seldom out of the news.
