I do not understand a phrase of "on clouds of bergamont." Please help me.
If she insists on supplying Oolong and the bridge club ousts her on clouds of bergamot, then Bibbs is ostracized. _________________ Hiromichi |

Consider the following two sentences.
Everything appeared to be very much the same as in the Land of Gentlemen, only that here the people moved on clouds of various shapes and colors.
On clouds of smoke rages his chariot. And his right hand burns red in its cloud.
In the first one, 'clouds' is used literally while it is used metaphorically in the second.
I think 'on clouds of bergamot' describes 'clouds' generated by the steam and aroma of the bergamot tea (or Oolong tea). |
