Dear Teachers,

1.Dont give up because of the incident that didnt go so well, keep at it.
- What does keep at it mean?

2.Thats what family and friends are for.
- What does this mean?

3.Baby I could live on loving you.
- What does live on mean here?

4.They are really pissing me off because I am very responsible.
- What does piss me off mean here?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd

It means continue to try doing it. Don't give up.

Example: You need to move all your furniture to a new house, but you can't do it yourself, so you ask some family and friends to help. After all the furniture is moved, you thank them. They say, "That's what family and friends are for." This means that family and friends are always there to help you.

If someone was stranded on an island, and all there was to eat was fruit, then they would be living on fruit. In this sentence, it means the person feels like he/she could live without eating, and just with his love.

"Piss me off" means "make me angry." It is not considered "polite" but it is used all the time in regular speech. (In American English, anyway)
