I do not understand "ethery" below. I wonder if it is a typographical error for another word.
REVERE: "Warren Buffet is an investment manager revered by investors throughout the US." This is a respect so special as to require considerable age, so Bob Hope might be a revered comedian but Jim Carrey has not attained that ethery plateau yet.

.
No typo. Ethery plateau = exalted level. Ether is the fifth and highest element after air and earth and fire and water; was believed to be the substance composing all heavenly bodies.

Mister Micawber, Thank you. In English-Japanese dictionaries adjective forms are only "etherish" and "etherishlike."

Etherishlike?!-- surely not! Standard English online dictionaries (Merriam-Webster, Oxford, Cambridge, American Heritage) only recognize etheric.

You should graduate to an Advanced Learner's dictionary as soon as possible. Japanese-English dictionaries are a constant obstacle to my classes.
