Olympics Wink
As you know, the Olympics is a big sports festival all over the world. So many athletes form different countries attendance at the Olympic games. People hold Olympics every four years. In this sports festival you can see many exciting items, such as running, high jumping, long jumping, gymnastics, volleyball, pistol shooting and swimming. We can say that athletes are competing for their countries.
In fact, I like to see the ice-skating best, especially the ice-dancing. They dancing on the ice looked so fantastic. I learnt ice-skating form my father when I was very young, but I cant jump and dance on the ice. I really want to do as well as them.
I think the best thing in Olympics is that all athletes try their best to finished their items. Maybe the items are impossible in our lives. But the aim of Olympics is not who win the gold, it is improve the communication and participation all over the world.
What is your favorite sport in Olympics? Razz

Hey, Lily. It is interesting to find your topic. Razz
The Olympic Games is the most important sports meeting in the world.
My favorite sport in the Olympic Games is 110-metre hurdle race. A Chinese athlete called Liu Xiang had won the gold in the last Olympic Game. It is the first gold that Chinese athletes have got in the sprint in the Olympic Games. Liu Xiang is thought to be a hero of our country. When he rushed the finishing line, all the Chinese cheered on him. That was the most important moment to China. We were proud of him.
The next Olympic Game will be held in Beijing. It is so cool. Will you come with me to watch the matches? I think it is a pretty good idea. Wink

Hi!! Im a college student in Japan. I like both watching and playing softball and baseball so much. My favorite point of softball and baseball is that victory or defeat of game will not depend by the end of the game. I also like that all teammates do themselves best without victory or defeat. I belonged to a softball club in high school and now play baseball in university. So, in Olympic games I love watching softball and baseball on TV. Im looking forward to next Beijing 2008 summer Olympic games. Of course I will watch the Olympic on TV. But I will not be able to watch softball and baseball games in London 2012 summer Olympic games. It was decided that softball and baseball games would disappear from London 2012 Olympic games by International Olympic Committee (IOC).
In particular, I miss softball. There are many possibilities to get medals in Japan. Then baseball has major leagues, World Baseball Classic (WBC) and so on. But I cannot watch softball on TV except Olympic. Im a Japanese. So I want to watch Japanese athletes playing softball. I do wish for softball and baseball becoming Olympic events again.
