Dear Teachers,

1. This guy is on the Internet, not in front of you in flesh and blood.
- What does in flesh and blood mean here?

2. My boyfriend of six months broke up with me last Tuesday.
- .of six months here means I have dated my boyfriend for 6 months, right?

3. I need more confidence in myself and not use him as a PICK-ME-UP all the time.
- What does a PICK-ME-UP mean here?

4. If you want to ask anything, just send an email my way, I mean it.
- What does just send an email my way mean here?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd

Say Steven--Do you look at the answers after you ask the questions? I notice that you never say anything afterwards, so it's hard to know. Most people are happy to answer questions, but when you answer questions and no one ever says anything, you kind of wonder if they looked at it.

1 - physically, in reality, in real life

2 - yes, it's a shorter way of saying, "My boyfriend, whom I have dated for six months, broke up...

3 - something to make me feel better

4 - different way of saying, "just send an e-mail to me."

Dear Lorikeet!

- Hi! there Lorikeet. I always read the answers after I post questions, and I really understand all of your answers, that's why I didn't say or ask anything afterwards. To be honest with you, all of your answers, Emile's, Hitori2k6's and Lucentshade's answers were so good and clear.

P/s: I really don't understand why you ask me " Do you look at the answers after you ask the questions?". I think you have misunderstood me. Anyway Thanks very much to your help for the last few months.

Best wishes,

Stevenukd.

I asked because some people post a "thank you" or "I understand now" so you know they saw the answer. If you don't say anything, it's hard to know. So thank you for answering. Very Happy
