The plural form is used to talk about things needed for an activity/work, like teaching materials, building materials, writing materials, cleaning materials.
'reading materials' would mean materials required for reading, like a book, a marker (for highlighting), reading glasses.
If you are referring to texts or articles, you should say 'reading material'. |
