Dear Teachers,
1. Sometimes my sister would throw it in my face, though she would later come to regret it.
- I think come to is redundant here, right?
2. No matter how much I may have seemed like I didnt want it , it would have made my day.
- What does it would have made my day mean here?
3. My sister often takes my stuff without asking, and picks on me a lot.
- What does pick on me mean here?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

"Come to" may be redundant, but it's not wrong--it's fairly common in sentences like, "Someday, you'll come to realize the value of hard work."

I believe it comes from a movie quote, "Go ahead, make my day." People might also say, "That concert made my week" = "That concert was a very good event within that week."
3. My sister often takes my stuff without asking, and picks on me a lot.

pick on [someone] = tease, harass, make fun of -- it can be with words or with physical harassment. |
