Should the have been before hardest-hit Bantul district in the sentence below?
The main hospital in hardest-hit Bantul district was still overwhelmed, with 400 patients for just over 100 beds, and doctors complained of a lack of supplies.

no need to put the article,
here is the reason,
Bantul district is an area of a country or town that is already specific. for example did you put the definite article on NYcity ? no need article.
I sense that the word " district " was used in similar to the word " city " You don't put a definite article before NYC.
If you delete Bantul, then you need the definite article.
The main hospital in THE hardest-hit district.
I might be wrong. I just gave a try. |
