I imagine transcripts of my many long and frustrating conversations with tech-service representative based in India.
Can somebody explain to me what this sentence means ?
What does " imagine " mean ? it means I guess ?
Can you say " based on " instead ?
Thanks |

| Yes. What the article's author is trying to say is that she's thinking about the fact that there must be lots of transcriptions of her conversations with workers from a tech-service company based in India. |

"imagine" can mean "guess," but in this case it means "form an image in the mind"--the writer is thinking about transcripts of these conversations. Also, it should be representatives.
"Based in" is correct, but "based on" is not possible in this sentence. "Based in" means "located in," but "based on" means "according to," as in "Based on what my advisor told me, I shouldn't buy those stocks." |
