I can understand a sentence like this: Even a dull child can improve. However, in a sentence below "even ... cannot" is used. Is this because of a combination of " do not conclude" and "cannot improve"--- namely double negation is affirmation?
Such teachers do not peremptorily conclude that even a dull child cannot improve. _________________ Hiromichi |

.
It seems to me to be an editorial error, Hiro.
