I'll try!

Let's start in the middle. Smile

may also be the product of - may also be caused by; may also come from; may also be a result of

a deeply felt sense of marginalization - a strong sense that one is not respected or considered worthy; a strong belief that one is regarded as less good and/or less important than many people; an awareness that one is despised and held in contempt (compared with many others)

I think the general idea is that if someone feels isolated or surrounded by hostility, that person probably won't feel that he or she "owes" anything to other people or needs to behave well toward them. Someone who is treated as an outcast has reasons to behave like one!

If you know word processing software, "margins" are the areas on the left, right, top, and bottom of the page, and these margins can be set to 1.4 cm or some other amount. The adjective "marginal" means slight or insignificant: "The difference between these two choices is marginal". So, someone who is marginalized in society is someone who has been placed at the edge, not the center--which makes them unimportant (marginal). (This refers to their place in society, not the area where they live. Think of the "center" of society as a social standing that people want to be in.)
