What are the basic rules for using during, for and in. There seems to be many rules which apply very loosely to the grammar of these words. |

Dear howtowhyis:
This question, like one other posted by you (What is the difference in nuance when using ' about; with; of; with relation to; in a sense' ?), is a little too broad to answer.
"During," "for," and "in" are all used in very many different ways, as are the words in your other post. If you were to compose or find some sentences that you are not sure about, it would be easier to understand what you need help with and hence answer your questions.
Hope this helps.
Yours truly, CP |
