It is difficult to use "lie (intransitive verb)," "lay(transitive verb),"
and "lie (to present false information with the intention of
deceiving)".
Could you please give me a sentence using three of them in one sentence? Any form of the verb is all right. The shorter the sentence, the better.
Best regards, |

Thans for helping me. A perfect sentence! But I wonder why you would not lie when you're resting.
Anyone else? |

I could have shortened the sentence by leaving out "would not." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

Thanks again.
Or,
Dont lie to me while lying on the sofa and laying your head on a pillow.
would explain the situation a little clearer.
Any other sentence?

As I lay down to sleep, I laid my book aside and lied: "No."
I was lying when I said the chicken was lying down while laying an egg.
When I lay down on the job and lied about it, charges were laid against me.
She was laying it on thick while lying about lying in. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
