Hello,
I learnt that the contruction "to have something done" means that the subject of the sentences does not do the action of the verb him/herself. What about this sentence?
"We will soon have this problem sorted."
Is "we" the people who will sort out the problem? Or does it depend on the context or the reader's interpretation? Could be it be understood that 'we will sort out the problem soon' at all?
Thank you,
Nawee |

It could be either that we will do the sorting out or we will have it done by others.
Usually you see "sort out" rather than just "sort." Some examples:
"We'll get this sorted out soon."
"Once we sort out the test scores, we'll know who will go on."
"If the riders can get themselves sorted out, they should be able to mount an attack on the course."
"Now that we've got that sorted out, we can relax." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
