" Though women still dominate the plastic surgery scene, men are growing concerned with their physical appearance and are doing something about it."
A dictionary says that "growing" as an adjective is used only before noun.
Despite that explanation, why 'men are growing concerned'? |

"growing" has a meaning of "getting" or "becoming" in this sentence; it's used as a verb, not as an adjective.
Example sentence:
"She grew worried when the clock struck twelve and her son still hadn't come home." |
