Well, what I like the most about Dostoevsky is that only reading his books until the very end I could understand the significance of his work.

After reading "The Brothers" through, I felt like I had been punched in the stomach... the pieces finally came together and the puzzle was completed. Along the book, Dostoevsky sometimes makes long reflections over themes that, at first, don't seem to be connected to the main narrative, but in the end, we find out that everything had a reason to be written; nothing was said in vain; everything had a purpose.

It's unnecessary to say that "The brothers" is on the "got-to-read-it-again" shelve right now....

there are someones begain to believe that going to a University is useless

because the compitition of the job hunting .

zhaoyaya, why are people in your country believing that attending a University is useless? I don't get it. The labor market is getting more and more competitive every day, and the ones who will be able to "fight" for the best jobs will be the ones who invest in learning. I take it for granted.

It depends on what you want to do with your life.
If you want to live a rural life as a farmer, you probably don't need a BA in modern languages, but some kind of a degree in agriculture might be useful.
On the other hand, if you are the kind of person who is good with his hands and is naturally talented at repairing machinery, for example, you should do that kind of work.
There is probably going to be a bigger demand, in China, for truck drivers than there will be for social workers.
As a general rule you should try to find a job that you enjoy and remember that not everybody is suited for a university education.
There is no shame in that - if your toilet leaks, you need a plumber, not a professor.
