1 ) I don't know if a "sling blade" is a real tool, but it is the title of a movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117666/

2 ) From the way you've spelled it, I'd guess that "weredad" is an alteration of "werewolf"; a dad that has werewolf characteristics.

3 ) Caller ID shows the number & name of the person who is calling you. The function you're talking about is called "Voice Dialing," I believe.

4 ) Sounds all right.

5 ) Judging from some Google results, I'd say that it's the party scene that occurs in the third act of many operas or plays.

msdaredevil - that's a good question...voice dialing has nothing to do with caller ID. your question is 'what is caller ID'. it is a function that most cell phones now have. when your phone is ringing, there is a name and phone number of the caller that appears in a window so that you have the option to accept the call or deny it. the function allows you to know who is calling before you answer it.

i also must disagree with #3 question...i don't think it sounds natural. here are other options.
He accidentally told his friends that he was getting married before he told his parents.
The fact that he's getting married is no excuse not to tell everyone that he knows.
