I think this is not a good question. It diminishes the importance of a critical issue. We should not talk about something that concern the lives of thousands of people in terms of "yes" or "no".

I don't agree with what Israel is doing in Lebanom, as much as I don't agree with what Hezbolah has been doing to Israel. I hate terrorism as much as I hate war. I could not be more honest about it.

In order to answer this question,it is critical for us to understand the entire situation in mideast.Since the founding of Israel after WWT,the Mideast has never been peaceful, why have been there many wars in the Mideast? The main reason is that some Arab countries and Islamic extrimists such as Iran,Hams and Hazhbolah don't want to live side by side with Islael peacefully, they don't admit Isral's right to exist ,after several wars in which some Arab countries want to wipe Israel out of the world map, they failed, now in the broader mideast, only one country publicly says that Israel should be wiped out of world map, that is Iranian theocratic regime which they support Hamas in Palestine and Hazhbolah in Lebanon, these two Islamic extrimist organizations don't want peace ,they want to wipe out Israel,so the troubles alway are caused by them.

About the situation in Lebanon now, this conflict was originally inflicted by Hazhbolah by attacking Israeli soldiers in Israel territory, imagining,if your country were attacked by such group, what would your country do?So it is reasonable for Israel to take action for this defiant, unfortunately, there are many innocent civilians being killed,we should condemn Israel for killing innocent people although Israel informed Lebanon civilians before they waged airstrikes. But we should also condemn Hazhbolah for their purposely killing Israel civilian, their aim is killing any Israelis.

According to the statement above ,to answer your question has become complex, honestly,I support Israel to launch a war with Hazhbolah, but I condole loss of the innocent lives in both Lebanon and Israel.

Hehe, I basically agree with everything everyone's said so far (especially Clarissa's post). We shouldn't think of this like a football game, with "scores" etc., these are real people and families.

I definitely support Israel's right to exist, but I can't answer your question in such a general, black-and-white kind of way.
I wish Israel wouldn't kill, of course, but considering the situation...
I'm not sure.
I DEFINITELY wish Hezbollah wouldn't kill.

Read my Middle East board in "politics" Smile
