Dear Teachers,
1. Good. Im in the mood for Spaghetti. Ill have that.
- Im in the mood for Spaghetti means I have the mood to eat Spaghetti, right?
2. Is root beer still a common kind of drinks in the USA? We dont have it in Asia.
Thanks a lot to Teachers

Hi stevenukd,

Yes. It means that you are in the mood for or feel like having spaghetti.
2. Is root beer still a common kind of drinks in the USA? We dont have it in Asia.
Yes. It is available, but not as common as other soft drinks like Coke or Sprite. Originally, it was made from extracts of actual spices and roots (like sarsasparilla and sassafras). Now, it's made mostly of artificial flavoring and sweeteners. It doesn't taste as good as it used to. That's why it's not common. It's an acquired taste. I liked Mug old-fashioned root beer. A cold root-beer float in the Summer used to be heaven!
