Dear Teachers,

1. Does Hit you back man! mean see you later man!? and is it still common in the USA?

2. Dont talk to me with that insolent / cheeky attitude.
- Is this natural?

3. Does "get out of here!" mean "come on! you're pulling my legs!"?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd

1. i have not heard that phrase before.

2. it is more common to hear 'don't talk to me like that' or 'don't talk to me with that attitude'.

3. 'get out of here' has two meanings and it depends on the context of the entire conversation...1 - a playful phrase in which you are kidding around with someone, 2 - a command to leave the area/room.

'you're pulling my leg' is the correct phrase (there is no 's' on leg)

'I'll hit you back' (and 'I'll hit you up') in this context both mean something like 'I'll get in contact with you' - basically 'I'll call you', 'I'll come to your house', something like that. I don't know if it's common all over the US or if it's even used a lot now, but then I don't live there Very Happy
