I want to prove to people that my English is better than that of an English major (person).
What are the other ways to rephrase it?
Thanks |

"I want to prove that my English is better than an English major's."
No need to prove to people, since that is implied. OK to use the possessive rather than "that of." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

major = it is the main concentration of study for someone in college or university.
example = My major in college (university) is English Education. When I complete my degree, I will teach High School (secondary school) English classes.
My friend's major is Film Studies. When she completed her degree, she moved to Nashville to produces commercials and eventually films. |

Right. But we also call the person who majored in English "an English major." They are the coolest, most popular people in the room, and often the smartest. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

of course!! after learning for many years about different kinds of lit and its background, it would be easy to teach history lessons, as well.

I was not an English major, so I don't mind being uncool. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
