| Quote: |
A: Doctor, I don't want what to do with my daughter.
B: She seems to be very depressed. So try to make her feel wanting. |
In the quote, first, I can exactly understand the meaning of 'I don't want what to do with my daughter.' Does it mean that she or he doesn't want to take any action for his or her daughter?
Second, I'd like to know the meaning of 'to make her feel wanting.' Does it mean making her feel deserted and lonely? If so, I guess it doesn't make any sense. I'd like to know the exact meaning of the quote.
Thanks. |

A. You can't / wouldn't say, "I don't want what to do with my daughter."
It should be, "I don't know what to do with my daughter." I am unsure how to proceed, given the way my daughter has been acting lately.
B. It should be, "So try to make her feel wanted." Make her feel as though she is wanted by you / as though you want her. Don't make her feel that you reject her. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
