Dear teachers;
Are there any differences between the p.p. of "forget"
I mean "forgot" and "forgotten"?
Thank you in advance. |

Forgot is used in the simple past affirmative and forgotten is used in the perfect forms and passives. The latter can also be used as an adjective - "the forgotten story" |

.
There is no difference in meaning between forgot and forgotten when they are used as past participles-- they are just alternative forms. Forgot, I think, is giving way to forgotten, but you are likely to find regional preferences, just as with got and gotten.
