I like history book. Specially, I like the last days of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Because it is time to dizzy changing and we can look to people's ambitious.
What do you think history book ?

I had read "UESUGI YOUZAN" two yeras ago.
Though I like world history rather than japanese history, I was impressed to this book Surprised Surprised
The personality of protagonist is very good Laughing Laughing
Do you know this book Question

I introduce book is "GEKIROKU SINSENNGUMI" Exclamation Exclamation This book is faithful to historical facts!!!! But it is as old as time. the book's author "Yasushi Hara" If you don't mind read this book Razz Razz Razz

I can't reallly say that i like history books coz i dont trust in the information given in them.

Some exaggrates praising while some exaggarates teasing..
If I should want to read about history i prefer biograpies

For me, history as subject is boring and you have to learn a lot there by heart and so I never want to vote it. I always avoided it. It must have to do with my genes.
I prefer sport.

But it is important, after all, that you know something about it. Otherwise you can't talk about politics, or you say wrong things or you let yourself be fooled around.

Two reasons I love reading history books:
1. Compared with literature, history is no less dramatic.
2. Compared with science, people study history out of the same motivation: curiosity.

I like history books too. In fact, my mother is a history teacher so I've read some historical books from her library.
I like ancient history and epoches, f.e. Egypt, Mesopotamia, The Celts...
My last historical book was about the celtic history. It was great though I haven't read it all.
