Hi teachers,

Could you tell me the meaning of "a trophy house"?
the house gained as a prize?

A "trophy wife" is a beautiful young woman whom the older, successful man can acquire and show off to the world. Usually, he has to get rid of the original wife, of course.

Usually, mentioning someone's trophy wife (to others, never to the man with the trophy wife or to the trophy wife herself, of course) is not done in admiration of the man.

A trophy house would be something to show off the person's wealth and status, without necessarily fitting the person's needs.
