Have you seen the phrases below?

"Think global, act global"
"Think global, act local."

Could anyone tell me the impication of the phases?

And are they well known among English speakers?

It is a bumper sticker slogan to remind people to live their lives so as to protect the environment worldwide and to get involved in local politics and issues so as to have an active role in one's own life, for the good of all.

Originally, I think it was "Think globally, act locally." I haven't seen it exactly as you have it here, Yoshi-Pooh, but anything is possible when it comes to words.
