"A light no darkness can extinguish."
This is a metaphor and recited in church, so can I interpret this as "a light which is not in darkness doesn't last long"?
Thank you for your help.

| It means a light that is so strong that it can't have it's place taken by darkness, so it is actually everlasting. |

Thank you very much for such a quick reply.
How couldn't I think of that?
