I do not understand a logic built in a joke below.

Why do teachers use a bamboo cane?
Because when the cane goes 'bam' the child goes boo!

Hello hiromichi - No, it's not really that "funny"....another pun. This pun (some would say most puns) is a "groaner"; a quite common reaction to puns is a groan rather than a laugh.

Reminds me of one my son made when he was about 5 years old...
We were up in a tree watercoloring designs on the bark and he asked me why the tree was in our yard.....insert rimshot...because it couldn't "leaf".

I admire you efforts to access the culture through an understanding of humor....not an easy task. Philo
