I do not understand a logic built in a joke below.
Why do teachers use a bamboo cane?
Because when the cane goes 'bam' the child goes boo! _________________ Hiromichi |

| Bam is a loud noise, boo is a cry of displeasure. |

Thank you, but this joke is not so funny, isn't it? _________________ Hiromichi |

Hello hiromichi - No, it's not really that "funny"....another pun. This pun (some would say most puns) is a "groaner"; a quite common reaction to puns is a groan rather than a laugh.
Reminds me of one my son made when he was about 5 years old...
We were up in a tree watercoloring designs on the bark and he asked me why the tree was in our yard.....insert rimshot...because it couldn't "leaf".
I admire you efforts to access the culture through an understanding of humor....not an easy task. Philo |
