[1] The problem is that I think my hair are thinner then before.
[2] Her hair are a little bit weird and her make up looks ok.
[3] My hair is so curly.
[4] My hair gets dry and brittle if I go without conditioner.

Are all these sentences correct?

If we can use "hair" with both "singular verbs" and "plural verbs", is this reason that "hais" is " a collective noun"?

So, Can we use "nation(=race)" with both "singular verbs" and "plural verbs"?

I'm afraid, the first two are incorrect.
Singular verbs are used with hair.

We generally learn that nation is singular, but in modern usage, it's personal discretion to look at it as either a collective singular entity, or as a plural.
