Hello,
Please read this sentence:
By taking a close look at how children learn a language, perhaps we can find a better, more natural way to learn English.
I wonder why better and more natural are not connected by a conjunction and but by a comma, i.e., "...a better and more natural way..."

i think punctuations are used to add style to the writing piece the way you want. so basically it depends on the style of the writer. _________________ go the last mile_ and enjoy it! |

Stringing together two or more adjectives with commas in place of "and" is done all the time. So your sentence could be written with "and" instead of a comma, and it is a matter of style, as Zeh88 said. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
