Hello,


Please read this sentence:

By taking a close look at how children learn a language, perhaps we can find a better, more natural way to learn English.

I wonder why better and more natural are not connected by a conjunction and but by a comma, i.e., "...a better and more natural way..."

i think punctuations are used to add style to the writing piece the way you want. so basically it depends on the style of the writer.

Stringing together two or more adjectives with commas in place of "and" is done all the time. So your sentence could be written with "and" instead of a comma, and it is a matter of style, as Zeh88 said.
